The Swedish Collegium at the AAA-CASCA Meeting in Vancouver
Last week, the Swedish Collegium was represented at the 2019
AAA-CASCA Annual Meeting (American
Anthropological Association/Canadian Anthropology Society) held in Vancouver, BC, Canada. For the first
time, the Collegium was present as an exhibitor in conjunction with a big academic conference in order
to promote the Collegium and its activities, among other things the new residential fellowship programme
focusing on global governance, the Global Horizons Programme.
In order to convey
the unique idea and
atmosphere of
SCAS, a booth with an explicit reference to the
Collegium premises in Uppsala had been created.
The SCAS
team was delighted to
meet with a large number
of scholars from all over the world, and to get the
chance to present the opportunities available at an institute
for advanced study in general, but also at SCAS in
particular. Among the other exhibitors were several major
publishing houses,
foundations and scholarly institutes
and
organizations
of different kinds.
